How long will I need to do therapy for?
The length of time for therapy depends on the problems you want to address. Some people just need a couple of months of sessions to help them get through a specific tough time in their lives. Other people may be working through difficult issues that stem from childhood or later. These difficulties could include low-self esteem/self-worth, significant anxiety or depression, or support dealing with new diagnoses of neurodivergency.
What qualifications does Dr. Kopelman have?
Dr. Kopelman is a licensed clinical psychologist and a school psychologist. She has provided counseling for individuals with ADHD, Autism, intellectual disabilities, developmental disabilities, anxiety, depression, marital difficulties, parenting stressors, and many other life stressors. As a school psychologist, she has provided social skills training for children and adolescents, crisis support, and is extremely knowledgeable about Individualized Educational Plans and 504 Plans.
What age groups does Dr. Kopelman provide counseling services for?
Dr. Kopelman provides counseling services for individuals of most ages, including children, adolescents, and adults.
What else should I know about Reflections Counseling and Assessment?
Dr. Kopelman speaks Spanish and is happy to provide services for individuals who are more comfortable in Spanish than English. Dr. Kopelman works with a facility dog, who attends sessions (with client permission) to provide support, increase comfort with counseling, decrease anxiety, and help with chronic pain management.
